This page is a gathering of tips from MythTV users in order to further your MythTV experience. If you have a tip not listed, please feel free to contact us with it and we will gladly post it here.

• When using NFS and Mythvideo on multiple frontends, it helps to have both video locations mounted at the same absolute path. (IE, all your videos should either reside in or be symlinked to the same dir on all machines (ie /var/lib/mythtv/videos))
• When setting up custom recording schedules, setting them up in mythweb will allow you to save the schedule even if it cannot find any shows relating to that schedule. You may want to do that if you want to see a christmas movie, but it isn't being shown in the next 14 days.
• If you live in an area with inclement weather, this may help.
